Where to Find the Best Pillow Forms/Inserts

Where to Find the Best Pillow Forms/Inserts

The other day, I was on the search for pillow forms since I bought two new pillow covers at IKEA. I had seen some a couple of years ago at Tuesday Morning and when I went to look again, all they had were 18×18 and they were stiff.

I discovered some in Joann days later that were the perfect feel, but again, I could only find 18×18.

So, I set out to find some of the best places with the best pillow forms. I don’t know about you, but I don’t care for the stiff feel of the polyester filled ones. I like the down/down-alternative ones that you can karate chop the tops down and mold to your body when you sit against them.

I have not personally tested all of these, but I made sure to check the reviews so that I know they have been liked by others who have.

My first choice is from one of my favorite stores, Crate & Barrel. I have purchased these pillow forms and love them, especially for the price and quality. These are called down-alternative, but it is a polyester fill that resembles down. They can be karate-chopped and shaped as you like. The 20×20 forms/inserts are only $15.00 each.

Next are the ones I found at Joann. They are super soft feeling and are great quality. These are a lot more pricey, but if you are savvy, you can wait until a good coupon comes in your inbox/mailbox and use that to cut the cost significantly. They did not have the 20″, but the 18″ are $29.99. Currently online they are 50% off, so go now!

Walmart also carries an insert that is a down-like feel that has gotten good reviews. These are available in-store and are the lowest priced at $13.36 for a 20×20.

Restoration Hardware currently has a sale on their down-alternative pillow inserts. They are regularly $18 for the 20″ and are on sale for $12.

And lastly, Pottery Barn offers a wide variety of pillow forms at average prices. The 20″ pillow insert is $18 for the 100% feather insert.
