Heart Shaped Cherry Pie Recipe

Heart Shaped Cherry Pie Recipe

Guys! I can’t even begin how amazing these pies are and for LITTLE work!! There are several of these cherry pie recipes floating around on Pinterest, but the one I used came from Frugal Coupon Living.

I wound up having to bake mine for around 20 minutes…maybe it’s because of the altitude with us being at sea level…? Or maybe I didn’t brush on enough of the egg wash, but this is my first time making them, so I am hoping that the next time will be a much better success! These were good, nonetheless.

Here is what you will need:

Set out all of your items that you will need and prepare your egg wash by mixing the egg and milk.

Roll out your crust and cut out your hearts. You should be able to make 8-10 pies out of one box.

Make Xs and heart cutouts in half. (I apologize for the yellow images, but my kitchen light puts off an amber color)

Rub egg wash around the edges of the bottom piece. Add a small amount of the filling.

Adhere the top piece to your bottom by pressing the edges together with a fork.

Brush each pie with the egg wash (it’s ok to be a little generous) then sprinkle with the sugar sprinkles.

Bake at 350° for 14-16 minutes, or until the crust is a golden brown.

Allow to cool and serve warm.
